We’re here for you.

Everywhere you turn, there seems to be companies making bold claims and promises about why you should trust them with your project. We want to help cut through all the noise.

This is how we serve our clients, and we would see it as a privilege to help you too.

Why choose Ever Studio for your project?

  • Choose a real Studio

Our studio is small enough to personally walk with you as the project takes shape, but we also work as a team when needed – whether to tap into each other’s giftings, or to fast-track projects when a quick turnaround is required. We collaborate with creativity, genuinely care for our clients, and are dedicated to our craft. Together, as iron sharpens iron, we’ll strive for a great outcome for you.

  • Choose a Passion for People

Our focus will always be on serving you through architecture. That means we will always be about how you would live, inhabit, and thrive in the spaces that we craft. We’re not motivated by Instagram followers or Facebook likes - our success will be in your joy as you enjoy the spaces in the everyday.

  • Choose Peace Derived from Connection to Nature

Many Architects talk about connection with nature, but to us this goes far beyond the visual, or ideas about passive design. We believe connecting to nature touches something deep within all of us. For you, this means inhabiting spaces marked by a sense of peace and restfulness. Nature is framed by our work - it is a timeless luxury that grounds people in time and seasons, and helps to make your home a refuge.

  • Choose Spaces for Purposeful Living

We believe in designing spaces for joy and purpose. This means homes that feel right in solitary quietness or when filled with the chaotic joy of hospitality to family and friends. Spaces uniquely crafted for your escape, your family to gather, or even for life in a multi-generational setting. Our pursuit of architecture is to support your vision of a life lived to the full.

Our Commitment #1.
Listen. Explore. From the Outside In.

We begin our project by listening to you and understanding the site. This is because Architecture is far more than just making a building that fits the functional requirements.

Our projects begin by working from the outside in. Early in the design process it’s much quicker to test different approaches, ideas, and architectural languages. We start with an open mind - with the key motivation of exploring how we connect the home to nature in an interesting and powerful way. Where it is helpful to do so, we will explore multiple options on your behalf.

We want our clients to be involved in the key decision-making along the way. Just as an art piece is more enjoyable and evocative once you understand its back story, we want our clients to know and have agency in how their homes came to be. This is why, in most cases, we see great value in this early process of concept exploration.

We are fundamentally interested in the story behind each building. It’s critical that you are heard, and that we understand what is important to you. You may have particular hobbies and passions, or a desire to embark on an environmentally-responsible build, or want to integrate your faith or design ideology into your home. The earlier we discuss and understand your desires, the more we can weave them into an intrinsic part of the design.

Below are some of the early iterations at Blade House Tamborine Mountain. Each one has its own approach to how the home relates to the site, gardens and available views.

Renovation, extension and alteration projects largely follow the same process, but of course, the existing bones and context help to narrow the “framework” within which we conduct our exploration. Similarly, some clients come to us with firm ideas in mind, rather than on open brief. In both these cases, we are happy to customise our service (and fees!) to your needs.

Our Commitment #2.
Spending quality time.

Time is an absolute necessity for a great outcome, because it allows a design to be continually tested and refined. Quality outcomes require ongoing focus and development. The creative process must take place in a step-by-step manner - and that’s why we steadfastly refuse to use the common metric of a “billable hour” to measure success internally.

We often say it’s a bit like practising the piano. The more we put in, the more refined the work becomes. By the end, each note and part has its place, and everything works together for a powerful outcome that’s much greater than just a sum of its parts.

From your side, you will notice that we work closely and personally with you - giving you regular updates on an almost-weekly basis, and having an open line of communication all the way through the project. We welcome a high level of client involvement.

We see our role as trusted guides to walk with you along the journey. The project will continue to evolve, from big picture to small details. And we are here with you, every step of the way.

Fewer projects.
Better outcomes.

One fundamental question to ask any potential Architect or Designer is “How many projects do you juggle at once?” Here at Ever Studio we steadfastly and intentionally cap the amount of work that we do, so that we can deliver projects in the heartfelt, attentive and focussed way that we are known for.

“Whereas in previous employment I would have six or seven projects on-the-go, here we cap it at two or three. Some Designers may aim for 40 to 60 projects per year; last year we worked on 13 projects across our team. Our business is geared in a completely different way to others, and we refuse to use the Billable Hour as a measure of success. We focus on what we do, and we do it well.” - Billy

Our Commitment #3.
Safeguarding your vision.

To bring your vision to life - and to offer you certainty and protection - means producing high quality and detailed Documentation drawings. We are committed to delivering a high level of documentation and detailing. Internal spaces are illustrated in 3D perspective form - so that there is a common understanding of what we are trying to achieve.

Most clients engage us to assist with detailed Cabinetry drawings, and selections of fixtures, appliances and fittings, as well as colours and finishes. However, the Scope of Service can be customised to your needs.

This work is not to overcomplicate the process, but to be as prepared as possible. After all, the drawings form part of your contract with the Builder. We find that good Builders and trades see our drawings and have confidence in providing an accurate price, and know that the building is thought-through for an efficient and effective build. Having a higher level of detail also means that if you do change your mind during construction, there is more clarity to ascertain the fair prices of changes and variations. And finally, our preparedness sets the tone for a mutually respectful and collaborative working relationship with the you, the Builder and us.

Our Commitment #4.
Seeing the big picture.

Every project is continually developed, refined and evolved from the big picture to the smallest details. This is why, as a practice, we think deeply about what we do, what we stand for, and how that benefits our clients. Our beliefs and philosophy grounds us and informs the decision-making along the way.

You may notice that we don’t have a set “look” to our projects - instead, we are happy to consider different forms, languages and materials, working for clients with different desires, tastes and budgets. However, our chief aim is that there’s a unified experience in our work, defined by a sense of rest and peace, and a strong connection to our natural surroundings.

This reflects our desire to look to your best interest. What we design may be interesting or beautiful, but that is a means to an end - to help you, or your family, thrive in the place you call home.

Our Architectural Fees

Choosing Ever Architectural Studio means investing in a high level of initial exploration, personal service, and detailed documentation.

Generally, you’ll find our Fees in the middle of the market. We demonstrate excellent value by committing heartfelt effort and generous time to every project.

We are adamant about being transparent and accountable with our clients. For this reason, our clients have full access to their project boards in our Monday.com project management software.

As a general rule of thumb, you would want to set aside 10-14% of the anticipated build cost for Consultancy fees. This includes our services, but also the other relevant Consultants necessary to deliver your project.

We offer different pricing packages and pathways for our projects. Please note that pricing is based on your unique scope, so it’s best to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
